Ramona

Sadly, Ramona departs tomorrow so she can return to the US. We are so happy she was able to come here and help us with Magoo while we took Language Classes. We enjoyed our time with her thoroughly and hope she makes it back before we leave Central America. 9 months without seeing Ramona? Ah... NO!

Myles had a great time with her do lots of fun activities. Yesterday they did finger paint. He clearly had a GREAT time.

Here are some other good ones of her:

Come back soon Ramona... like in March for your birthday.

Te amo!

Voy Dando El 100% y tambien Magoo

I give 100% and so does Magoo.

Yesterday Ramona and I ran the Costa Rican 10K "Race for the Cure." This was something Ramona really wanted to do, and I sort-of wanted to do. So we made it happen. It was great, and in the end, I'm glad we did. I have a few special people in my heart I ran for.

I look like a deer-in-headlights, because I was a little nervous... not about the run, but about making it to the start line. As I said, it was great and it worked out fine.

Magoo also wanted to give 100% so he worked-out with Ramona today. Dips and Pushups.

Nicargua Playa, Dia Dos

Another day at the beach!
Waves, sand, shells, hammocks, turtles, beer and sand toys - all equals fun!

Laying around...

We watched baby turtles make their way to the ocean.

However, they didn't make their way... not because Morgan spent some one-on-one time with them, but because "the birds could eat them." Yet... there was not a bird in the sky. I guess the locals use the babies as a way to attract tourists. I don't know.. But it started out fun, and ended on a weird/sad note.

Got in some good QT

We also hung with the locals.

And don't worry, we were safe with our personal securty guard and rifal... It's all good in Nicaragua!

Maderas Beach

Maderas Playa was our destination today.

We headed out in a jeep to cross this little mountain in order to get to Maderas Playa.

This took me back to a certain excursion trip I took in Laos, but felt a lot safer somehow. As you can see, all smiles.

Myles was soothed right to sleep from the bumpy ride the dirt road presented.

Once we got there, we scoped out the one tree that could provide some shade for Magoo and set up camp. We had a great time.

We played in the sand.

We played in the water.

We took naps.

We explored the wildlife.

We enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

And the trip ended as it began... with a soothing ride.

We got home in time to play at the park, get in a yoga session, and watch the sunset.

The End.

We Crossed the Boarder!

We made it!
We left yesterday morning at 6am and arrived at 4:30pm. The Tica Bus was our method of transportation. Myles did an amazing job on the bus and crossing the boarder. And when I say amazing, I mean AMAZING

I'm pretty sure a lot of people were staring at us. And I'm sure some were thinking, what the hell are those two doing here with a baby? It wasn't a baby-friendly situation. (Although we did get sent to the front of the immigration line b/c we had Myles.)

It was just a reminder that this is a pretty amazing experience. And Myles is amazing for being so cool as we travel and take him on these adventures.

Things we like about Nicaragua so far...
1. There's a playground feet from our place.
2. Food is very good and cheap.
3. View of the water = Amazing!
4. View of the mountains =Amazing!

More to come, I'm sure. Enjoy the pics.

A few shots of us after the long days journey.
