2 es el numero...

Myles turned 2 on Saturday. Over the past week everything has seemed to happen in 2's. This week started with a high fever for 2 days. But as parents of an almost-2 year old, we handled that with ease.

Then it got a little more difficult . Friday he fell and landed on his face. Lots of blood, and no real clear view into his mouth we asked our neighbors for help. They rushed us to their local pediatric dentist. With three adults holding him down, the dentist was able to determine he has 2 chipped teeth. None were loose and we'll have to wait and see if there is any major damage with time.

I spent 2 days making him an Elmo cake. You might say it was a week long process of planning, but 2 days of making and creating.

Saturday- HIS BIRTHDAY- was finally here. The cake was made and neighbors were ready for a 5pm celebration. Morgan took him outside to play with the other kids while I got the last details ready. And then... He fell again. This time he hit the side of his face. The side of his left eye was split wide open. Much more blood this time, and a sense of a more serious problem than the day before, so we headed back into our neighbors car for the Doctor. Thankfully this wonderful doctor agreed to meet us at her office (on her day off) to see Myles. She carefully examined, cleaned and put in 2 stitches. Oh it was awful.

Yesterday we finally got to sing him Happy Birthday, he opened some gifts, and we all ate the Elmo cake. That is, all... but Myles who refused to eat Elmo. Oh well... can't win 'em all.

Happy Birthday Song

Happy Birthday Myles. You are growing in quite the wonderful little boy. We're lucky to have you in our lives and we cherish every moment... even the stressful ones. Much love!
