Arenal

After the drama of the accident, we finally were able to get out of San Jose and took a short trip to Arenal to see the Volcano and Lake. 

First and foremost, Grandpa Mike, DD and Myles got in some much needed QT. Like all his visitors, Myles loved all the attention and affection he received from his grandparents.

  

Our first day there, we drove around and checked out the area. We took tons of pictures b/c it was just so amazingly beautiful. It some of that "raw beauty" I talked about in my post on Nicaragua.  I mean how often are you driving along and get to see a beautiful white horse in a green valley? I mean really!

We stopped for lunch at a place that had internet.

We made it to the hot springs too. We went to a location that had a baby-hot springs pool and Myles toughly enjoyed practicing his kick with Grandpa Mike and even tried the slide... once.

     

The area is extremely beautiful. We found a great lookout and caugh an almost perfect view of the Volcano. Its so stunning.
